THE BASICS OF BOARD OF TRUSTEE ELECTIONS
At the each annual meeting, members are entitled to vote on the slate of trustees as submitted by the Nominating Committee.
The Nominating Committee announces their slate of nominees for the next term of the Board of Trustees in the annual meeting invitations which are mailed to all current members in March.
NOMINATING A CANDIDATE WHO IS NOT ON THE SLATE
After the slate of nominees has been announced, members can still nominate candidates for the Board of Trustees and/or for the President. Per HHF's bylaws, here are the requirements for nominations:
Elements to be included:
- A summary of the nominee's background (200 words or less)
- A petition signed by at least 15 Members of HHF
- Written permission from the nominee

MORE DETAILS ABOUT VOTING
- Fifty voting members are required for a quorum for electing the Board of Trustees and the President as specified by HHF's bylaws.
- Family memberships entitle two family members present at the Annual Meeting to vote for each matter submitted to a vote of the members. All other membership levels (including corporate memberships) are entitled one vote for each matter submitted to a vote of the members
