Blair D. Collis
President & Chief Executive Officer, Bishop Museum
Mr. Collis was appointed as the 10th President & Chief Executive Officer of Bishop Museum in June 2011. He served as senior vice president and chief operating officer for the prior three years, and filled numerous other roles with the Museum since he first joined it in March 2003 as Director of Bishop Museum Press. Mr. Collis has served as president of the Hawaii Book Publishers Association and was the founder and chair of the Hawaii Book & Music Festival, a two-day literary and musical arts festival dedicated to raising literacy awareness, attracting 25,000 kama‘āina and visitors each year. He is a recent graduate of Hawaii Emerging Leaders Fellows, a program focused on non-profit leadership in Hawaii, and is currently a participant in the 2011-12 Pacific Century Fellows program. Born and raised in Australia, Blair Collis graduated from the Schidler School of Business at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Business. He is a father of two boys, Matthew and Aidan.
