Historic Hawai‘i Foundation is currently conducting an update to the Hawai‘i Preservation Professionals Directory.  If you are interested in being included in the directory, or wish to update the information about your firm, please download & email this submission form by June 13, 2011 to Wendy@historichawaii.org

As Hawaii’s statewide advocacy organization for historic preservation, Historic Hawai‘i Foundation often receives requests for referrals for a variety of professional preservation services.  To respond to this need, we have compiled a directory of preservation professionals who work in Hawai‘i through our Preservation Resource Center.  The Hawai‘i Preservation Professionals Directory is organized by categories and is available to the public via HHF’s website.  The directory is primarily a digital resource with only limited printed copies.

There is no charge for inclusion in the directory and it is open to any preservation professional service provider in Hawai‘i.  Because inclusion is based on self-selection and HHF does not independently verify the credentials of the firm, we ask that you only list areas in which you have historic preservation expertise, qualifications and experience, including work done in compliance with Secretary of Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, rather than more general services.  Current members of Historic Hawai‘i Foundation will be highlighted in the directory.

Corporate members of Historic Hawai‘i Foundation are highlighted in the directory with blue text and a star by the firm name.  HHF’s members demonstrate a commitment to the cause of historic preservation in Hawai‘i and HHF is strengthened by the support of its members.  Recognition of membership should not be construed as a recommendation of the highlighted firm.

The directory is organized into three sections:
I. Architecture/Engineering/Architectural History
II. Archeology/Cultural
III. Construction
IV. Other Services

This publication is a product of Historic Hawai‘i Foundation’s Preservation Resource Center.  Funding for the Preservation Resource Center is provided by the Atherton Family Foundation, Cooke Family Foundation, Hawai‘i Community Foundation, National Trust for Historic Preservation, and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
