Merchant Street Historic District
The Merchant Street Historic District, listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places were built as early as 1854 and portray the growth of Honolulu's business community in the 19th century. 

Historic buildings in this historic district include:

  • Royal Saloon (Murphy's Bar and Grill)
  • Waterhouse Building
  • Yokohama Specie Bank
  • The Friend Building
  • Kamehameha V Post Office
  • Melcher's Building
